Buying concert tickets in Taiwan on tixCraft and KKTIX

What each platform is for

tixCraft handles most large concerts in Taiwan — Taipei Arena, Kaohsiung Arena, the stadiums. For a big international show it is almost certainly tixCraft.

KKTIX sells mid-sized and small shows and independent events, and is friendlier to overseas buyers on registration and payment.

At the on-sale on tixCraft

Busy shows use a queue, and tixCraft is known for its verification code step — you must type the characters shown on screen while the clock runs. A wrong entry sends you back to the queue.

Some shows sell pure first-come with no queue and are gone in seconds. Having the account, payment and seat choice ready in advance matters more than anything else.

Accounts and payment

• tixCraft registers by email; some shows require Taiwanese phone verification, some do not — the organiser decides.
• International cards usually work for international shows, but it remains per show — check that show’s checkout.
• Some shows use real-name ticketing: the name on the ticket must match ID, checked at the gate. Read the notice carefully.

Collection

Commonly: print the ticket at an ibon machine in 7-ELEVEN or a FamiPort in FamilyMart in Taiwan, using a booking code, within a set window. More shows offer e-tickets, but do not assume it.

If printing at a convenience store is required, you need to be in Taiwan during that window or have someone print for you — and for real-name shows, the attendee must be the named buyer.

When to ask for help

KKTIX shows, or tixCraft shows that are not oversubscribed: buy them yourself, which is what this guide is for.

Contested tixCraft shows with a queue and code: more real people on real accounts means more queue numbers — the only thing a mini queue service genuinely does. Nobody beats the draw.
