Who Yao Xiaotang (姚晓棠) is

Yao Xiaotang was born on 11 September 1998 in Shanwei, Guangdong, and studied musical theatre at the Central Academy of Drama. Audiences met her on Sing! China 2021 (《2021中国好声音》), where she won Wang Feng’s team and reached the national top five. She then became a familiar face on The Treasured Voice (《天赐的声音》), with The Last Page (《最后一页》), Look into My Eyes and Tell Me (《看着我的眼睛说》), Seat (《座位》) and Compromise (《妥协》).

2025 was the turning point: her first CMG Spring Festival Gala, the Newcomer Award at the 32nd Chinese Top 10 Music Awards (东方风云榜) and Rising Musician at the Weibo Music Awards. Her own songs to know before the night: GotChu (《已经有我啦》), Her Tree (《她的树》), About You (《关于你》), Joint Guarantor (《连带保证人》), Ten Thousand Kilometers of Longing (《一万公里的思念》); she has also sung many drama OSTs, such as 《只如初见》, 《泪念》 and 《甜蜜配方》.

Her fans are 棒棒棠 (Bangbangtang), a play on the «棠» in her name. Hence the Malaysian show’s name, «破晓·棒棒棠»: a «破晓» (dawn) night for the «棒棒棠».

The Breaking Dawn (破晓) tour, and the night in Genting

The «破晓» tour was announced on 11 September 2025 with Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, then went on to Nanjing, Hangzhou and Guangzhou. Malaysia is its first stop outside China, and her first solo concert abroad, five years after her debut. «破晓» is the first light breaking through the night; the organiser promises a show that runs from gentle ballads to singing and dancing, in Mandarin.

The organisers are Titans Entertainment and By Moon Entertainment (百沐娱乐, also the producer), co-organised by Star Planet. The show starts promptly at 6 PM; latecomers are let in only at suitable breaks. The door time has not been announced.

The Arena of Stars seat map: which tier sits where

• VIP · RM828 (orange): the four centre blocks at the stage (section VA). The fewest seats, so usually the first to go.
• PS1 · RM648 (pink): the two large centre blocks right behind VIP (section GA). Straight at the stage, the best value once VIP is gone.
• PS2 · RM488 (yellow): two different places at one price. The two blocks either side of VIP at the front (section RA, close but at an angle), and the two large centre blocks at the back past Gate B, around the control panel (section YN, further but straight on).
• PS3 · RM368 (purple): the two angled blocks either side of PS1 (section BA).
• PS4 · RM248 (blue): the blocks in the two back corners (section BN), the two small blocks by Gate A and Gate C included.

Because the system hands out the «next available seat», a PS2 buyer cannot choose front or back; the better seats usually go first, so buying early makes the front part likelier. Buying on BookMyShow Malaysia from abroad

• E-tickets with a one-time QR code. Entry with the PDF or a printout showing the QR code, the event details and the order number. Screenshots are refused, unlike many other shows in Malaysia.
• No cancellation, change or refund unless the show is cancelled or postponed. Do not post your ticket online: a photographed QR code can be used before you.

Getting to Arena of Stars, and what is not allowed

Arena of Stars is inside Resorts World Genting, up in the Genting Highlands (Pahang), about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur; go up by bus from KL or by the Awana SkyWay cable car. • No children aged 3 and under; under-14s come with an adult and hold a full-price ticket.
• No video, audio recording or live streaming; no electronic devices other than mobile phones and power banks. No selfie sticks, tripods, stabilisers, outside food and drink, glass or metal bottles, laser pointers, non-collapsible umbrellas or large luggage. Confiscated items are not returned.
