Who is DIOR 大穎: the singer behind «Kampung Girl 普通人»

Update 24 Oct: both nights are sold out: Sunday 13 December went in the first sale, and the added Saturday 12 December about two hours after its 29 September general sale (Oriental Daily, 30 Sept). The organisers are CK Star Entertainment and Lost Control Studio. If you arrived here after hearing one song and wondering who sang it: DIOR 大穎 is a Malaysian singer, songwriter and producer who built a Mandarin-language career from Malaysia, without relocating to Taiwan or China. Her first world tour is called «Kampung Girl 普通人», two words that describe the whole career.

The short version

Name: DIOR 大穎 (also written 大颖), born Tan Jia Ying.
From: Malaysia. Sings mostly in Mandarin, with the Manglish touch that became her signature.
Started: 2020, when the single «爱自己更深» (Love Myself More) went viral and turned music into a profession.
Her own studio: LostControl, credited on the Kuala Lumpur concert poster.
First tour: «Kampung Girl 普通人», whose opening Genting stop sold out quickly.

Biography per the public record, including her Wikipedia page; the song list below follows her own official YouTube channel.

Why «Kampung Girl 普通人»

«Kampung girl» is how Malaysians describe someone from a small place who has not started putting on airs; «普通人» means an ordinary person. Using both as a world tour title is a quietly bold claim: a singer filling arenas still calling herself ordinary.

It also explains why the songs travel. Titles like «在加纳共和国离婚» (Divorce in the Republic of Ghana) and «如果那通电话有接通» (If that call had been answered) found a wide audience in China, not through scale, but because the stories are small and specific.

Five songs to hear before the show

If you want to know what you are walking into, start here. All of them have official videos on her channel, and we embed them on the concert page so you can listen without leaving.

Kampung Girl 普通人: the tour’s theme song, and the one to play if you play only one.
LOUISE: among the most played releases on her official channel.
人醒著不過一萬多天 YOLO. The title is the best line: we are only awake for ten-odd thousand days.
節約用愛 SAVE SOME.: the quieter side, and a sign that she writes with a sense of humour.
大人的快樂: «the happiness of grown-ups», for anyone who has worked a full day and wondered if that was it.

Setlists are never announced in advance and vary between stops, so treat this as preparation rather than a running order.

What is different about the Kuala Lumpur show

The Kuala Lumpur stop (Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December 2026 at Unifi Arena Bukit Jalil, the Saturday an added show and the Sunday sold out) is the tour’s first anniversary show, and the production was upgraded for it: an M-shaped extension stage reaching into the seats.

It starts at 5:23 PM, an odd enough time that you notice: it is DIOR’s tribute to her mother, who passed on 23 May.

The seven ticket tiers carry Malaysian slang names (KEPOH, SEE KIN NAH, PAIKIA, SAMPAT, SUAGU, AH BENG, AH LIAN), and each comes with a «Kampung Kia» gift pack. Both have guides of their own, linked below.
