Buying Dior 大颖 《KAMPUNG GIRL》 Kuala Lumpur tickets on BookMyShow: step by step
Update 24 Oct: both nights are sold out: Sunday 13 December went in the first sale, and the added Saturday 12 December about two hours after its 29 September general sale (Oriental Daily, 30 Sept). The organisers are CK Star Entertainment and Lost Control Studio. Sunday 13 December sold out in the 24–25 September sale. The added Saturday 12 December sells in three rounds on 28 and 29 September 2026, all on my.bookmyshow.com. The good seats usually go in the presales, and the seats that remain are usually lost at the payment page rather than the seat map. This guide follows the real order: what to prepare now, what happens at the on-sale, and what to do inside the payment window.
The Saturday 12 Dec schedule (Malaysia time)
- Mon 28 Sept, 10:00–12:00: UOB Priority Presale.
- Mon 28 Sept, 13:00–23:59: UOB Presale, any UOB card.
- Tue 29 Sept, from 15:00: general sale, open to everyone.
The only official seller is my.bookmyshow.com/e/DIORINKL (the Malaysian edition, not Singapore’s or India’s). The shows are Saturday 12 December (added) and Sunday 13 December 2026 (sold out), both at 5:23 PM, Unifi Arena Bukit Jalil; RM166–RM666 before the ticketing service fee. Sunday’s first sale (UOB presales 24 Sept, general sale 25 Sept) has sold out. Schedules change: re-check the event page on the morning of the sale.
The day before: six things done
- A verified BookMyShow account. For this sale the promoter asks buyers to register an account and complete its verification beforehand, then log in to buy. Do it now, not on the morning of the sale.
- The name on the account matching your ID: some shows print the buyer’s name on the ticket and check it at the gate.
- Four tickets per transaction. A bigger group needs more than one buyer, each with their own account.
- A tested way to pay: FPX needs a daily limit above the ticket total (two RM666 tickets exceed some banks’ default), an e-wallet needs the balance, a card needs its OTP arriving on a phone in your hand.
- For the UOB presales, the UOB card itself: presale payments normally have to be made with the qualifying card.
- A written order of preference: first-choice tier, fallback, and whether a wing block is acceptable. The payment window is not the time for a group chat.
At the on-sale: the waiting room
For busy shows BookMyShow holds buyers in a waiting room before the hour and admits them in turn once the sale opens. Positions are usually drawn at that moment, not by arrival. Being two hours early does not help, and extra tabs or refreshes can push you back or read as a bot.
What works: one tab, one device, the event page open fifteen minutes early, left alone. More than one queue position for a large group means more people on their own devices, or a queue service.
Inside the payment window
Once admitted you pick a tier and quantity and get a limited window to pay. When it expires the seats return to the pool. The three usual ways to lose them here:
- A slow OTP: phone in hand, not in the bag.
- An FPX daily limit that is too low: raise it the day before, or pay by card.
- Deliberating over blocks: the written order of preference solves this.
Afterwards, check the confirmation email and «My Tickets» in the BookMyShow app. E-tickets with a QR code are usually activated close to the date; the promoter’s notice will say how collection works.
If you cannot be at a screen at 3 PM
The general sale lands on Tuesday 29 Sept at 3 PM (working hours for most). Tao Meo runs mini queue and proxy booking for Malaysian shows: we queue and buy online at the on-sale time for you, in the official sale, at face value plus a fee quoted in advance, and send the booking confirmation as soon as it is done. Details in the service guide linked below; requests go through the form on the show page.
