How to read a concert on-sale poster: the 10 lines that decide whether you get in
Everything you need to buy a ticket is usually in one poster or notice, mixed into artwork and small print. People miss tickets less for lack of speed than for a skipped line. These are the ten to read, in order.
1–3. When, where, and when it sells
- Show date and time, with doors. Multi-night runs list each night. Sometimes one is added later (加場).
- Venue, which decides the seat map and the journey.
- Sale schedule: often presales for fan-club members or a partner bank's cardholders before the general sale. Times are the host country's local time. Convert them with our time-zone guide.
4–6. Where, how much, and what comes with it
- The ticketing platform: only the one named is official.
- Prices per tier and the seat map, usually before platform fees.
- Benefits per tier and their conditions: draws open only to tickets bought before a date, limited slots, fixed gathering times. Often the smallest print on the poster.
7–10. Limits, payment, delivery, entry
- Ticket limits per account, purchase or ID number.
- Payment methods and how long a held ticket waits for payment.
- Delivery: e-ticket, or paper collected at a counter in set hours. Read it before booking flights.
- Entry rules: named tickets, ID checks, age limits.
When the poster and the ticket page disagree
Trust the latest word from the official channels: the show's ticket page and the promoter. A poster is a snapshot; schedules change and nights get added.
