Ticketing platforms

ThaiTicketMajor

Market: Thailand

One of the largest ticketing platforms in Thailand, selling concerts, fanmeetings, musicals and sport. Most large Bangkok shows go on sale here.

Many shows allow physical pickup at a ThaiTicketMajor counter, so for anyone not flying in early, collection is the part to plan around — not the purchase.

Ticketmelon

Market: Thailand

A Thai platform strong on festivals, indie shows and mid-size fan events. The interface has English, and most tickets are e-tickets.

A lot of Thai artist fanmeetings go on sale here, so if you follow BL or T-pop, watch Ticketmelon and ThaiTicketMajor side by side.

Interpark

Market: South Korea

One of South Korea’s largest ticketing platforms, and where a great many K-pop concerts in Seoul go on sale. It runs an English version for international buyers.

The hard part for buyers in Vietnam is rarely picking a seat — it is the account and the payment, which is exactly where proxy booking earns its place.

A Korean platform selling tickets for many K-pop concerts and fanmeetings, alongside the book business it started as.

Many sales here use a waiting room that assigns random numbers — the count of places in the queue matters more than how fast you click, which is the whole reason mini queue exists.

Melon Ticket

Market: South Korea

The ticketing arm of Melon, the Kakao-owned music service. It sells concert and fanmeeting tickets, mainly for the domestic Korean market.

It is the most domestically-oriented of the three Korean platforms here, which also makes it the hardest for a buyer in Vietnam to use alone.

Ticketmaster

Market: Global

A global ticketing platform covering the US, UK, Europe and Australia, with Ticketmaster Singapore handling the Southeast Asian leg of international tours.

Ticketmaster leans on presale codes and layered queues, so for a big tour the preparation before the on-sale matters far more than it does on a straight-to-sale platform.

BookMyShow

Market: India · Malaysia

India’s largest ticketing platform, whose Malaysian edition is one of the busiest sellers of international concerts in Kuala Lumpur — Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil. One edition per country, separate accounts.

For fans in Vietnam the Malaysian edition is the one that matters: English, international cards, e-tickets — the easiest Malaysian platform to self-serve. The Indian leg is worth watching because so few buyers from Vietnam contest it.

GoLive Asia

Market: Malaysia

A Malaysia-based ticketing and events platform some promoters use for concerts, fanmeetings and fancons by Korean, Thai and regional artists in Kuala Lumpur.

Same platform, different rules per show: whether international cards are accepted, whether the ticket is named, whether a Malaysian phone number is needed — read that show’s page. There is no general rule to lean on.

Fantopia

Market: Malaysia

A ticketing and fan-experience platform used by the promoter IME for its Malaysian shows — including BIGBANG Kuala Lumpur in January 2027, sold exclusively here.

For a show the size of BIGBANG what decides it is your queue position and whether everything is ready to pay in the few minutes you are admitted. Both are prepared in advance — not watched for on the day.

Damai

Market: Mainland China

A major Chinese ticketing platform owned by Alibaba, selling concerts, musicals and sport across mainland China.

Chinese shows commonly issue named tickets tied to the attendee’s ID and checked at the door. The attendee’s details therefore have to be right at the moment of booking, not corrected later.

Cityline

Market: Hong Kong

A long-established Hong Kong ticketing platform covering concerts, theatre and events at venues such as the Hong Kong Coliseum and AsiaWorld-Expo.

Hong Kong is a common stop on Asian tours and often goes on sale earlier than the Southeast Asian leg — worth watching when the leg nearest you has sold out.

CTicket

Market: Vietnam

A Vietnamese ticketing platform used by some large international concerts held domestically — including the BIGBANG World Tour at My Dinh Stadium in October 2026, sold exclusively through it for both local and overseas buyers.

Large shows here usually run several rounds: a fanclub presale, a round for holders of a particular bank card, then the public sale. Most good seats leave in the earlier rounds, so watching only the public sale is usually too late.

TicketBox

Market: Vietnam

A Vietnamese ticketing platform, and where many international shows held in Vietnam go on sale.

For a domestic show, camping and mini queue still apply — an on-sale in Vietnam is not automatically an easier one.

They do not sell tickets themselves, but they are the name people search — because they decide which shows exist and where they go on sale.

GMMTV

Market: Thailand

A Thai television production company under GMM Grammy, producing series and managing artists. GMMTV is not a ticketing platform — it organises fanmeetings, fancons and concerts for its artists and sells through Thai ticketing platforms.

For a GMMTV show the work is knowing which platform it lands on and when, since events do not all use the same one. These are usually the fastest Thai shows to sell out.

Where does GMMTV sell tickets?

GMMTV is a production and events company, not a ticketing platform. Its events go on sale through Thai platforms such as ThaiTicketMajor or Ticketmelon, and not always the same one — so following the show’s own announcement matters more than watching one platform.

Why do some platforms need proxy booking and others only mini queue?

It depends on whether the platform shuts foreign buyers out. Where an ordinary account and an international card are enough, mini queue does the job. Where local details are required, proxy booking is the only route.
