Where tickets are sold

The two you will meet most are ThaiTicketMajor and Ticketmelon. ThaiTicketMajor is one of the largest platforms in Thailand, selling concerts, musicals and sport; most large Bangkok shows go on sale there. Ticketmelon is stronger on festivals, indie shows and mid-size fan events, has an English interface, and is mostly e-ticket based.

Some shows use an organiser’s own platform. Do not assume every show sells in the same place — the show’s own announcement is the authority.

GMMTV and other Thai companies

GMMTV is a production company under GMM Grammy that makes series and manages artists. It is not a ticketing platform — it organises fanmeetings and concerts for its artists and sells through Thai platforms, and not always the same one.

For a GMMTV show, the important work is following the official announcement to learn where and when tickets land. These are usually the fastest Thai shows to sell out.

Where overseas buyers get stuck

The specifics change per show and per sale round, so read the terms for the show you are actually buying rather than trusting a general guide — including this one.

• Much of the interface and the terms exist only in Thai, even where an English toggle is offered.
• Some tiers or some sale rounds ask for local details.
• Foreign cards get declined when international transactions were not enabled beforehand.
• Collection: many shows offer physical pickup at a counter in Bangkok, so plan collection if you are not arriving early.

Preparing before the on-sale

• Create the platform account days ahead and finish every verification step.
• Ask your bank to enable international payments on the card you plan to use.
• Convert the face value to your own currency in advance, including platform fees.
• Decide your tier and your fallback beforehand.
• Check the on-sale time in Thai time and convert it. Thailand is UTC+7; confirm against the show’s own announcement anyway.
