Where tickets are sold

The three names you will meet most are Interpark, Yes24 and Melon Ticket. Interpark is among the largest and runs an English version for international buyers. Yes24 sells for many concerts and fanmeetings alongside the book business it started as. Melon Ticket, owned by Kakao, is the most domestically oriented of the three.

Each tour picks its own platform, sometimes splitting by night. The tour’s official announcement is the only reliable source for where tickets land.

The real barrier: account and payment

This is the biggest difference from Thailand. There you can usually buy with an ordinary account and an international card. In Korea many sale rounds ask for verified local details, and some platforms decline foreign-issued cards.

In practice that means most Korean orders are not about queueing fast — they need an account prepared in advance and a payment method that will be accepted. It is why Korean orders are usually proxy bookings rather than a mini queue alone.

The specifics change per platform and per round, so read the terms for the show you are buying rather than any general guide.

Fanclub rounds and public rounds

Many K-pop tours sell in stages: an official fanclub round first, then a public one. Most of the good seats leave in the fanclub round.

If you follow an artist long term, joining the official fanclub is worth more than any trick about clicking speed. If not, expect the public round to be far more competitive with fewer tickets.

Collection and entry

Many Korean shows require exchanging the booking for a ticket at the venue on the day, with ID checked against the booking name. The name on the order should therefore be the person actually attending, from the start.

Ask what ID the show requires at the door before booking — it is where problems most often appear and the hardest thing to fix once you have travelled.

Preparing before the on-sale

• Confirm which platform the show uses, from the official announcement rather than a repost.
• Check whether there is a fanclub round and whether you can still join in time.
• Convert the on-sale from Korean time (UTC+9) to your own.
• Decide your tier and your fallback in advance.
• Settle whose name goes on the order, since it usually has to match ID at entry.
