How to buy tickets on ThaiTicketMajor

Set the account up days ahead, not on the day

The single most useful thing you can do: register and fill in your details well before the sale. Every second spent typing your name at the on-sale is a second someone else is choosing seats.

There is an English version — switch languages at the top of the page. Use the name on your passport, because some shows check identity at the door.

• Register and confirm your email before the on-sale day.
• Fill in name, phone and address in your profile in advance.
• Log in on the browser you will actually use and check the session is still valid.
• Read the show page for the per-account ticket limit.

What happens at the on-sale

For ordinary shows the sale is direct: pick a block, pick seats, pay. For busy ones the platform holds buyers in a waiting room before the hour and admits them in turn.

The part that surprises people: where there is a queue, arriving earlier usually does not mean going in earlier. Many systems assign positions when the doors open rather than by arrival time. Opening twenty tabs does not help, and can be read as abuse and void every session on the account.

Seat maps are shown by block, and a seat visible on screen may already be held by someone at checkout. Losing one is normal, not a mistake on your part.

Payment — where most people stop

This is the step overseas buyers stall on. ThaiTicketMajor supports several payment methods, but not all of them are open to buyers outside Thailand, and which ones are varies by show and over time.

What can be said reliably: the methods available are listed at that show’s checkout, and that is the only source worth trusting. Do not conclude from any guide, including this one, that your card will work.

When a card is declined it is more often the issuing bank blocking an overseas transaction than the platform refusing it. Enabling international payments on the card in advance removes that variable.

How tickets are collected

Depending on the show: e-ticket, counter collection, or delivery within Thailand. The method is fixed by the show rather than chosen by you, and it decides whether buying from abroad is practical at all.

If a show only allows counter collection in Thailand within set hours, you need somebody there. That is the most common reason a successful order still ends with no ticket in hand.

Read the collection terms before paying, not after.

Counter sales

Some shows, fanmeetings especially, sell at ThaiTicketMajor counters in shopping centres alongside the online sale, and occasionally hold back an allocation for them.

No amount of bandwidth helps with that format — it needs someone physically in the queue, which is not something a service outside Thailand can do without people on the ground.

When it is worth asking someone else

Buy it yourself if you can, and this guide exists so that you can. Hiring help is only worth it for three situations: the on-sale falls when you cannot be at a screen, your payment will not go through, or the show requires counter collection in Thailand.

If you do hire someone, ask three questions: is the ticket bought for me or bought already and resold, what is the all-in price, and where is the public proof.
