How to buy tickets on GoLive Asia

GoLive Asia appears in more and more sale notices for K-pop and Asian tours stopping in Kuala Lumpur. This walks through the general flow and — more usefully — lists exactly what you must <b>confirm per show</b>, because that is where remote buyers get caught.

What GoLive Asia is used for

GoLive Asia is a Malaysia-based ticketing and events platform. Some promoters choose it for concerts, fanmeetings and fancons by Korean, Thai and regional artists, mostly in Kuala Lumpur.

As with every Malaysian platform, there is no rule of "this kind of show sells here" — the promoter decides per tour. The sale notice is the only thing that tells you whether a show is on GoLive Asia.

The general flow

  • Create an account by email, verify it, use your passport name — days ahead.
  • For busy shows, enter the waiting room before the hour; positions are usually drawn when the doors open.
  • Once admitted, choose a tier or block and complete payment within the time limit.
  • The e-ticket lands in your account or inbox, usually with a QR code for the gate.

Four things to confirm per show

The part most worth reading, because it changes between shows on the same platform:

  • Whether payment is open to international cards — look at that show’s checkout. FPX and Malaysian e-wallets do not work from Vietnam.
  • Whether the ticket carries the buyer’s name with ID checks — this decides whether proxy buying can work.
  • Per-account limits, and whether a Malaysian phone number is required for verification.
  • How the ticket is collected: electronic, or exchanged for a wristband or paper at the venue, and in what window.

Before the on-sale

As on any platform with a queue: logged in, payment details saved, card enabled for overseas use, stable connection, tier and fallback decided. Malaysia is one hour ahead of Vietnam — set the alarm to the converted time.

The full checklist is in "What to prepare before a ticket on-sale".

When to ask for help

You can buy yourself if your card works and the ticket carries no name. Help is worth it only when a show is contested enough to need more queue positions, or requires something you do not have from Vietnam — such as a Malaysian phone number for verification. Ask whose name goes on the ticket and how it is collected before hiring anyone.

คำถามที่พบบ่อย

Is GoLive Asia in English?

Yes. English interface, prices in MYR.

Will a Vietnamese card work?

Per show — the methods open to international cards appear at that show’s checkout. Enable international transactions first; skip FPX and Malaysian e-wallets.

Are GoLive Asia tickets named?

Depends on the show. Some print names and check ID, some do not. Read the show’s terms before buying or asking anyone to buy.
