What to prepare before a ticket on-sale
Most people who miss out do not miss because they clicked slowly. They miss because the on-sale is when they discover the account is unverified, the card is blocked for overseas use, or they have not decided which tier to take. All of that is fixable in advance.
A week before
The things that take time and cannot be rushed on the day:
- Create an account on the correct platform for that show and confirm your email. Each platform is separate.
- Enable international payments on your card. Many banks disable it by default and take days to switch it on.
- Check the card expiry is far enough out and the limit covers face value times quantity.
- If the show checks ID, make the account name match your passport.
The day before
- Log in on the browser you will use and confirm the session is valid.
- Fill in your details and save payment information to the account.
- Read the show page: per-account limit, collection method, whether ID is checked.
- Convert the on-sale time to your own and set an alarm 30 minutes ahead.
- Decide your tier and your fallback tier. This is the step most often skipped.
Fifteen minutes before
- Enter the waiting room if there is one. Earlier rarely improves your position, but late means no position at all.
- Use a wired or stable connection. Dropping out mid-queue usually means losing your place.
- Turn off a VPN unless required — changing IP mid-session can invalidate it.
- Close heavy applications. One tab, one window.
- Keep the physical card within reach even with details saved, in case a verification code is needed.
Things that feel clever and are not
Twenty tabs on one machine: many platforms read it as abuse and void every session on the account. You have not improved your odds, you have removed them.
Reloading repeatedly while queued: in many systems a reload loses your place and sends you to the back.
Automated clickers: against the terms, and where detected the result is a closed account rather than just a cancelled order.
Decide now what happens if you miss
This sounds pessimistic and it is the part that saves the most money. Before the sale, answer: if your tier is gone, will you take a lower one? If nothing is left, will you buy from a reseller, and what is your ceiling?
Decide while you are calm. Deciding immediately after missing out, while it still stings, is when people pay the most and get cheated the most.
คำถามที่พบบ่อย
Does entering the queue hours early help?
Usually not. Many platforms draw positions when the doors open rather than by arrival. Arrive early only to be sure you are inside before it closes.
Phone or computer?
A computer on a wired connection is steadier, especially for seat maps. But the device you are fluent on beats the better device you fumble with.
How many accounts should I prepare?
One per person. Multiple accounts for one person breaches the terms of most platforms and can void every order.
